We are midway through the Sun in Aquarius and there is also a New Moon Aquarius at 7:07 pm EST on Friday January 27th, 2017. Aquarius is about Freedom and Individuation. According to Kelly Lee Phipps, the energy of Aquarius is representative of the rebel, inventor, performer, humanitarian, and the cosmic-genius.

The ruling planet for Aquarius is Uranus and has a 7-year transit (or cycle) and urges us to experience freedom. According to Kelly, some key words that represent Uranus are – originality and authenticity, cosmic awareness, intuition.

Most of you have probably only heard stories about the Aquarian energies of the sixties and seventies, and the revolutions that were going on at that time. It feels like we are going through that cycle again, only this time we are closer to “The Age of Aquarius” and the energy is both exhilarating and nauseating at the same time. We are seeing with our own eyes the complexities of living in a very diverse society. We want people to honor who we are, but then we are being challenged to respect the beliefs of others, even though we disagree with them.

Oh what a crazy time this is! But or angels and guides are excited about these changes. As a global society, we are awaking from a long slumber, and we are beginning to not only see the error of our ways, but we are feeling the ramifications. It is time to remember that we all created this together, and we need to be united and fix this. Each and every one of us needs to take responsibility for the part that we played. We need to do it with the utmost respect for our fellow humans, for we are all just learning how to maneuver through this universe, and we all make mistakes. Compassion for all is the key. If we are right, and we say that you are wrong, nothing gets done. This is called dogma! We have been stuck in this holding pattern of dogma long enough, and we must break out of it. But violence and separation did not work in the 60’s and 70’s and it will not work now. It is time to do something different…

Another important event that is accruing n the sky is that Mars is moving out of Pisces and into Aries on Saturday January 28, 2017. Mars has a 2 to 2.5-year transit and according to Kelly, urges us to act, express desire, & focus with masculine essence, is also about sexuality and athletics. Mars in Pisces reminds me of being on a dark path surrounded by fog. We can see the path in front of us, but when we look up there is the fog blocking the view of our future.

Mars in Aires is more like walking on this same path, but seeing the morning sun coming up over the horizon. The skies are clearing and we can see the path in front of us. You may notice that there is a fork in the path that you didn’t notice before (AKA another option that comes to light). This is the beginning of a new journey and we can begin to feel optimistic or even giddy as we feel the winds of change, and as we move closer to the spring here in the USA.
